Furniture Material Options

We carry furniture made from several different types  of material to best meet the varied needs and desires of our clients. The type of material you choose depends on a variety of things including, style preference, maintenance requirements, location of furniture (i.e. covered porch, direct exposure to weather), cost and durability. Below is a brief description of the characteristics of the primary types of products we carry. We are available to assist you in choosing the material type that will best suit your needs. 

Teak is a deciduous hardwood tree from managed plantations; it does not come from tropical rain forests. Teak has a naturally high oil content, making it stable and resistant to rotting. It is considered the premium timber for outdoor furniture. Teak wood will naturally weather from a golden brown to a silver-grey patina over time. All of our teak products are made from Grade A teak which is the highest quality. 

Our all weather wicker collections have the authentic beauty and textural elements of furniture woven from natural plant fibers, but none of the typical problems of deterioration when used outdoors. Fibers are made of High-Density polyethylene (HDPE) which withstands fading, tearing and cracking even after years of use and sun exposure. It comes in a variety of colors, thickness and weave designs and is woven on top of either teak or powder coated aluminum frames.

Aluminum is an abundant element and offers a low density and enhanced ability to decrease corrosion, making it lightweight and durable when compared to other metals. Our products are made with extruded aluminum with thick outer walls and inner channels that can last a lifetime. The furniture is fully welded so that there are no weak points. The frames then go through a dry finishing process where a powder coating is sprayed onto the frame and then heat cured in an oven The powder coating adheres to the metal much better than liquid paint. It is a low maintenance product that can be easily wash with clear water or mild soap to remove dust, pollen, dirt, etc. 

Wrought iron is a solid and sturdy metal that makes for quality, long lasting timeless styles of furniture. Our products go through a 5 step finishing process which protects them from the elements and create a beautiful finish.  

All weather rope is an exciting new material being used in many of our outdoor furniture products. The rope is durable, water and fade  resistant and comes in a variety of  colors. We see if wrapped around high quality aluminum frames in a number of different ways .

We carry a variety of concrete furniture pieces that come in 9 different color finishes. Concrete offers versatility in the ability to create looks that vary from traditional old world pieces to sleek and modern forms.
